Challenging the Seattle Norm with An Eclectic & Soulful Home

As a Seattle-based designer, we live in a city where a large percentage of its residents are looking for a neutral home -- a seemingly safe design choice. As a color and pattern enthusiast, I attract clients who want to challenge the norm, take a few risks and get excited about feeling (slightly) uncomfortable. In my own home, I got to take it even further — bringing in colors and materials and ideas that I have yet to use in any other projects. The kitchen was completely gutted, fireplace re-designed, and color added by way of paint, tile, fabrics, wallpaper and art throughout.
